Family-run care in St Helens since 2012

Local people caring for local people

TogetherCare grew from our own family’s experience of caring for loved ones. That experience still shapes how we listen, respond and support every person today.

About TogetherCare

Care with local roots and a personal reason behind it

TogetherCare is a family-run, community-anchored care provider founded in St Helens. We began by helping people remain safe and independent in their own homes, and we have grown carefully to meet a wider range of needs.

Today, we provide community care, specialist complex care and support within our Extra Care schemes at Heyeswood and Foundry Wharf. Although our services have developed, the principle behind them has stayed the same: listen properly, treat people with dignity and do what we say we will do.

Mick and Mike Burke

A family story that became TogetherCare

After caring for his mum and dad for several years, Michael Snr, known as Mick, wanted to carry that experience forward and create a care company in memory of his mother, Margaret Burke.

Mick is a former international rugby player who represented Widnes Vikings and Great Britain. The teamwork, resilience and loyalty that shaped his sporting life also became part of the character of TogetherCare.

Michael Jr studied business, marketing and management while regularly returning home to help care for his grandparents. He brought that experience and his professional skills into the company, helping TogetherCare grow while remaining locally led.

TogetherCare was built from care experienced first-hand.
